Webinar Description

We’re all pretty familiar with the common retirement narrative. You work at your job for several decades and then you retire for the rest of your life. If you’re lucky, you can spend the next years playing, traveling, and mostly doing whatever you want. But this cultural narrative just isn’t working for millions of people who are approaching or who have begun to experience retirement. Folks in the third third are looking for purpose. They want to make a difference that matters with the time they have left.

Jeff Haanen, author of An Uncommon Guide to Retirement: Finding God’s Purpose for the Next Season of Life offers a new narrative for retirement. With biblically-based vision, lots of creativity, and plenty of stories, Jeff helps folk who are in or entering the third third of life to approach retirement in an uncommon way.

Featured Guest: Jeff Haanen, founder and CEO of the Denver Institute for Faith & Work. Author of An Uncommon Guide to Retirement: Finding God’s Purpose for the Next Season of Life.

Host: Mark Roberts, Executive Director of Fuller’s Max De Pree Center for Leadership and Program Lead for the Center’s third third initiative. (You can find Mark’s review of Jeff’s book here: https://depree.org/an-uncommon-guide-to-retirement-a-review-of-a-new-book-by-jeff-haanen/.)
